オープンスタジオの二日目は場所を移してもりや学びの里、アーカススタジオで行われました。
Second day of the open studio was at ARCUS studio in Moriya Manabino-sato.


約一ヶ月前からアーティスト達が制作をしている2階のスタジオが一般公開され、彼らの守谷での活動について見る事ができます。
Studios in second floor where artists have been working for about a month were open to public and people could see their activities in Moriya.


取手を拠点に活動する拝借景の皆さんも来てくださいました。
Members of Haishakkei based in Toride visited us too.


午後２時から、ゲストキュレーターのチェ・キョンファさんのガイドによるスタジオツアーが始まりました。
The studio tour with the guide of the guest curator Che Kyongfa started at 2pm.



最初はバスィールのスタジオ。
守谷市役所の都市計画課でのインタビューの様子がビデオで投影されています。
守谷市の人口や景観の変化、移住する事などについてリサーチしているバスィールの活動をキョンファさんが説明しています。
It started with Basir's studio.
There is a video projection of the interview at the City Planning Division of Moriya City.
Kyongfa is explaining about Basir's project with the research of transition of population and city scape of Moriya and relocation of life.


バスィールのリサーチをサポートするスタッフのコメントなども聞きながら、
With some comments of the staff supporting Basir's research,


終始和やかに進んでいきました。
it went in a friendly mood.



スタジオにはバスィールがこれまでに集めた守谷市の統計的な資料や守谷市の地図、映像作品を制作するためのプランドローイングや模型などが展示されています。
There are the information materials of statistics of Moriya that Basir has been collecting, a map of Moriya city and plan drawing and maquette for his shooting displayed in his studio.


次は日本人ゲストアーティストの木村泰平さん。
木村さん自ら作品の説明をしています。
Next is the Japanese guest artist Taihei Kimura.
He is explaining his works himself.


力のバランス関係や拮抗をテーマに、火薬や樹脂を用いて彫刻的な作品を制作して来たこれまでの活動と、街の中に現存する廃屋と成長する樹木との力関係を扱う現在進行中のプロジェクトについて、キョンファさんの解説も交えて掘り下げていきます。
He is explaining about his previous activities making more sculptural works with the use of explosive and resin in the theme about balance and antagonism of force, and also his ongoing project dealing with power relationship between existing abandoned house in the town and growing tree together with Kyongfa's comments.




オズギュルのスタジオでは、日本での改造車についてのリサーチをもとにしたプロジェクトのアイデアの変遷を見る事ができます。
In Ozgur's studio, you can trace the history of ideas of his project based on the research of modified cars in Japan.




リサーチを進めていく中で知った日本での改造車の現状、社会に対する抵抗について扱ってきたこれまでの活動、古タイヤを使ったインスタレーションのアイデアに至る経緯などについて、話は進んでいきます。
The talk went on with the current situation of modified cars in Japan that Ozgur got to know in his research, his activities dealing with social resistance he has been working on, the background of changing his ideas turned into the plan of installation with used tires and so on.


最後はウンジュのスタジオ。
守谷市の主婦４人と共にブレインストーミングのようなワークショップを数回行い、それをもとに台本を作り、映像作品を作り上げるプランについて説明しています。
Last is Eunju's studio.
She is explaining about her brainstorming-like workshops with housewives in Moriya, and her plan to make a script and a video work based on the workshops.



彼女が育った郊外という場所、東京のベッドタウンである守谷、そこに住む主婦、女性の心理に興味があるようです。
She is interested in the places "suburbia" where she had grown up, Moriya as a commuter town of Tokyo, and psychology of housewives and women living there.


来場者からも活発に意見が飛び交いました。
Visitors are also commenting and questioning actively.


スタジオツアー終了後もそれぞれのスタジオで、ゆっくりと時間をかけてアーティストに直接作品についての話を聞く事ができます。
People can talk to the artists directly about their works taking time in each studio after the studio tour.





普段スタッフがオフィスとして使っているサロンでは、大きなテーブルを囲んでゆっくりとくつろぐことができます。
People can hang out in the salon where is usually used as office of staff, with the big table in the center.


バーベキュー場で何やら始まりました。
Something started at the barbecue place.



何かをみんなで串に刺して、
They are threading something onto skewers,


焼いています。
grilling,


串から外して、
and taking them off from skewers.


美味しそう！ケバブです。
It looks good! It's kebab.


皆でダイニングテーブルを囲み、
Everyone sat around the dining table,


夜は更けていきました。
and the evening went on...


次回、アーティスト達の活動の成果が見られる２回目のオープンスタジオは、11月17日(土)、18日(日)を予定しています。皆様のお越しを心よりお待ちしております。
